Minor Girl Abducted and Subjected to Gang Rape in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Jan 11 (NationPress) In a distressing event, a minor girl was reportedly kidnapped and gang-raped by three men while she was traveling to a birthday celebration in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh, according to police reports on Saturday.
The authorities mentioned that the girl was heading to her cousin's residence for the birthday party when one of the suspects, who was familiar to her, allegedly confronted her and coerced her into a vehicle with two of his accomplices.
They drove approximately two kilometers to a secluded area near a pond and took turns assaulting her.
After committing the heinous act, the trio fled the scene, leaving the unconscious victim near the pond, the police reported.
Upon regaining consciousness, the 11-year-old girl managed to walk home late Thursday night and recounted her ordeal to her parents. They promptly took her to Damoh District Hospital, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Meanwhile, noticing something amiss, hospital personnel notified the local police (Dehat Police Station) regarding the incident.
Upon receiving the report, a police team arrived at the hospital and arranged for a medical examination of the victim, which confirmed the assault, as stated by Manish Kumar, the head of the local police station.
"Following a formal complaint, a case has been registered against the suspects under pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act," Manish Kumar added.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) also documented the victim's statement at the hospital on Friday. Manish Kumar informed that the suspects have been identified.
Three police teams have been dispatched to apprehend the accused.
Reports indicate that family members of one of the suspects, who was known to the victim, were interrogated at the police station on Friday.
However, as of Saturday afternoon, all three suspects involved in the crime remained at large.
