Aizawl, Feb 1 (NationPress) Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma is set to present the state’s Budget for the 2025-2026 financial year in the Assembly on March 4, as confirmed by an official on Friday.
The Budget Session of the Assembly will kick off on February 19 with the traditional address from Governor Gen Vijay Kumar Singh (retd).
Officials from the Mizoram Assembly have stated that the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), led by Speaker Lalbiakzama, has finalized the session's agenda, which will run until March 20.
Lalduhoma, who also serves as the Finance Minister, will present the state budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year on March 4. This marks his second budget presentation in the House since the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) assumed power in December 2023.
Earlier this week, the Governor convened the fourth session of the 9th Assembly of the state to assemble on February 19.
In a related update, the Mizoram Governor visited the Border Security Force (BSF) Sector Headquarters at Durtlang North in Aizawl on Friday, where he engaged with para-military officers and personnel.
During his visit, the Governor praised the BSF's role in securing the India-Bangladesh border, emphasizing the importance of ongoing vigilance for national security. He urged BSF members to perform their duties with the highest level of commitment and highlighted the necessity for increased monitoring of unlawful cross-border activities.

The BSF is responsible for overseeing a 318 km stretch of the unguarded India-Bangladesh border in Mizoram.
