New Delhi, Jan 19 (NationPress) With just under two weeks remaining before the Delhi Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expresses his belief that the residents of the capital will guarantee a “landslide victory” for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is set to engage with party members during the “Mera Booth Sabse Majboot” initiative on January 22 (Wednesday).
The elections are scheduled for February 5, with results to be declared on February 8.
In a message shared on the social media platform X on Saturday, the Prime Minister noted that the citizens of Delhi are eager to provide a landslide victory for the BJP.
During the session with party workers, PM Modi indicated that there would be a sharing of perspectives, and he encouraged participants to voice their thoughts during the discussion.
“Delhi is set to give a landslide victory to BJP in the Assembly elections. There will be a wonderful opportunity to engage with dedicated workers on January 22 at 1 p.m. during the Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot program. Please share your views as I will be speaking with some of you,” the PM conveyed on X.
Previously, on Friday, the party unveiled its manifesto (known as Sankalp Patra) for the upcoming elections.
The manifesto includes a range of welfare initiatives aimed at supporting women.
Highlights include the distribution of six nutritional kits and financial assistance of Rs 21,000 for women under the Matritva Suraksha Yojana. The BJP is committed to safeguarding the welfare of expectant mothers if elected in Delhi.
Additionally, the BJP pledged to provide LPG cylinders at Rs 500 for women from economically disadvantaged families.
They also promised one free cylinder for the festivals of Holi and Deepawali.
Furthermore, the BJP’s manifesto committed to implementing the Centre's Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Delhi, offering free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
“If BJP comes to power in Delhi, no public welfare program will be discontinued. We will eliminate corrupt middlemen and beneficiaries,” PM Modi asserted during a public rally on January 5, comparing the AAP government's tenure to a calamity - ‘AAPada’.
As the BJP prepares for a significant electoral battle against the AAP, PM Modi articulated the reasons why Delhi requires a BJP Chief Minister, promising enhanced income, greater savings, improved women's schemes for managing households effortlessly, and superior education and security for girls.
“I am confident that the residents of Delhi will reject the 'AAPada' individuals and grant the BJP the opportunity to develop a modern National Capital in the 21st Century,” stated PM Modi.
