New Delhi, Aug 15 (NationPress) External Affairs Minister (EAM), S Jaishankar, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 79th Independence Day speech, wherein he stated that 'Operation Sindoor' has “disturbed Pakistan’s sleep” and led to such extensive damage that “new revelations are emerging every day.”
On the social media platform X, EAM Jaishankar remarked: “Prime Minister @narendramodi’s address on India’s 79th Independence Day showcased the resolve and spirit of India. It highlighted the success of 'Operation Sindoor', emphasizing our unwavering commitment to combat terrorism. The address underlined our dedication to Atmanirbharta and reforms in governance and policy to usher in a new era of growth, progress, and prosperity. It was a call to our Youth, Innovators, Nari Shakti, and Businesses to become partners in building a Samridh and Viksit Bharat.”
Earlier that day, EAM Jaishankar also conveyed his greetings to the nation, stating, “Heartiest greetings to all countrymen on Independence Day. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat.”
During his address at the Red Fort, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s zero-tolerance stance against terrorism and issued a firm warning regarding Nuclear blackmail.
“India will no longer accept Nuclear blackmail. If the adversary dares to undertake any further misadventures, the Indian Armed Forces will respond decisively. India has resolved that blood and water shall not flow together,” he asserted.
He characterized this Independence Day as one of “special significance,” expressing pride in honoring the soldiers who executed 'Operation Sindoor'.
“Our courageous soldiers have inflicted punishment on the enemies beyond their imagination. The Armed Forces were authorized to determine strategy, targets, and timing — and the outcomes were extraordinary,” PM Modi remarked.
The Prime Minister noted that this operation set an unprecedented standard not seen in decades.
“They penetrated hundreds of kilometers into enemy territory, reducing terrorist strongholds to rubble,” he indicated.
“Pakistan's sleep remains unsettled. The devastation within Pakistan has been so substantial that new revelations are surfacing daily, and fresh information continues to emerge,” he commented.
“I take pride in the opportunity to salute the brave soldiers of 'Operation Sindoor' from the Red Fort today. Our fearless soldiers delivered a response to the enemies that surpassed their expectations. Every Indian was enraged by the atrocities committed by terrorists in Pahalgam, and 'Operation Sindoor' is a manifestation of that very anger,” the PM concluded.
