Mohan Yadav, CM of Madhya Pradesh, Engages with PM Modi for Support

Bhopal, Dec 10 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House on Tuesday, where he provided an overview of the diverse welfare schemes currently operational in the state and requested his guidance.

During their discussion, the Chief Minister invited PM Modi to officiate the Global Investors Summit scheduled for February next year.

The Chief Minister also urged PM Modi to lay the foundation stone for the Ken-Betwa River interlinking project, a significant initiative aimed at channeling surplus water from the Ken River in Madhya Pradesh to the Betwa River in Uttar Pradesh to support irrigation in the drought-affected Bundelkhand region.

Additionally, he informed PM Modi about an upcoming two-week campaign titled 'Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Abhiyan', launching on the anniversary of the current MP government on Wednesday.

According to an official statement, the primary aim of this campaign is to attain 100 percent saturation through targeted schemes benefiting youth, women, farmers, and economically disadvantaged groups.

Simultaneously, the Chief Minister sought PM Modi's blessings as he marks the completion of his government's first year in Madhya Pradesh.

It's noteworthy that after a decisive victory in the state assembly elections held on November 17, 2023, the BJP's central leadership appointed Mohan Yadav in place of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The four-time former Chief Minister, who now serves as the Union Agriculture Minister in PM Modi's Cabinet, was elected as a Lok Sabha MP from Vidisha.

Mohan Yadav, a three-time BJP MLA from the temple town of Ujjain, took the oath as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on December 13, 2023. Two senior party figures, Rajendra Shukla (Rewa) and Jagdish Devda, were appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers.

The BJP achieved a significant win in Madhya Pradesh, securing 163 seats out of a total of 230 in the assembly. In contrast, the Congress party's representation decreased to 66 seats, down from 114 in the 2018 Assembly elections.
