MP: Cancer Patient Receives Complimentary Treatment Through Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Grateful to PM Modi

Bhopal, Dec 27 (NationPress) The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), launched by the Modi administration, is now facilitating free treatment for critical illnesses such as cancer. Bacchu Singh, who hails from Khargone district in Madhya Pradesh, is receiving complimentary medical care under this initiative.
In a conversation with IANS, Bacchu's family expressed their gratitude towards PM Modi for this program.
“The Modi administration at the national level has introduced numerous schemes aimed at assisting ordinary citizens, significantly improving their lives. The mere thought of cancer instills fear in common people. The substantial costs associated with treatment can devastate families both financially and emotionally. Nevertheless, the Modi government has not only recognized the challenges faced by the general populace but has also extended support for treating serious ailments through the Ayushman card. Millions have reaped the benefits of this scheme and are expressing their thanks to the Modi government,” stated Bacchu Singh's family.
Bacchu Singh has been battling cancer, specifically throat cancer, which has rendered him unable to speak. Attempting to communicate caused him significant distress. However, thanks to the Ayushman Bharat scheme, he is now receiving treatment, bringing joy to his family. He shared that without the Ayushman card, accessing treatment would have remained an unfulfilled aspiration.
Alka Randhawa, Bacchu's granddaughter, informed IANS, “My grandfather has been enduring throat cancer for the past eight months. He holds an Ayushman card, facilitating his treatment. Another individual from our village is also undergoing complimentary cancer treatment at the hospital via the Ayushman card. After my suggestion, my grandfather is now being treated at the hospital.”
“My grandfather is receiving excellent care and is nearing discharge from the hospital. Our family’s annual income is between Rs 50000-60000, making private hospital treatment unfeasible. However, thanks to the Ayushman Bharat scheme, we have access to free treatment. We are incredibly grateful for this support.” She became emotional while expressing her appreciation to PM Narendra Modi for this initiative.
