Bhopal, Sep 5 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, announced the allocation of Rs 330 crore for the procurement of uniforms for 55 lakh students enrolled in government schools on Friday. The announcement took place during a ceremony hosted by the School Education Department in celebration of Teachers’ Day.
The funds were seamlessly transferred to the bank accounts of students with a single click.
The event, aimed at recognizing teachers for their exceptional contributions, was graced by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel as the chief guest.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized, "Education serves as the cornerstone of societal advancement, and teachers are the true architects of this cornerstone," while offering his best wishes on Teachers' Day.
During the ceremony, a total of 14 teachers were awarded for their remarkable achievements throughout the academic year, with eight from primary schools and six from higher secondary schools.
This year, two exceptional teachers, Sheela Patel and Bhurelal Osara, have been nominated for the prestigious National Teachers’ Awards and will be honored by President Droupadi Murmu in Delhi.
Notable attendees included Uday Pratap Singh, Kunwar Vijay Shah, Vishwas Sarang, and Krishna Gaur.
Teachers’ Day, celebrated every year on September 5, marks the birth anniversary of former President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, honoring the invaluable contributions of teachers as mentors and guides.
