Bhopal, Feb 5 (NationPress) The government of Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday, distributed e-scooties to 7,900 outstanding students from government schools. These students, recognized for their excellence in the academic year 2023-2024, received their e-scooties during a special event.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presented keys to nearly a dozen students at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in Bhopal, organized by the School Education Department.

During his speech, CM Yadav urged students to strive for greater accomplishments in their lives.

He stated, “Merit is crucial for academic success, but morality and ethics are essential for a fulfilling life.”

In a post on the social media platform X, he expressed: “Every child deserves education; factors like time, distance, and transportation should not hinder their educational journey, and we are continuously working towards this goal.”

He further encouraged students, saying, “Work diligently and contribute to a prosperous Madhya Pradesh; congratulations and best wishes for a bright future!”

School Education Minister Rao Uday Pratap Singh and other ministers were also present at the event.

The initiative to distribute e-scooties aims to motivate students to excel and improve their lives.

He highlighted the disparity between private schools, where parents invest significant amounts, and the support the state government provides, including training sessions and various facilities.

This initiative is part of the Education Department's scheme that rewards students who achieve the highest marks in Government Higher Secondary Schools across the state.

Under this program, e-scooties are awarded to those who score the highest in Class 12 at government schools.

During the ceremony, CM Yadav not only handed over keys to students but also deposited money into the bank accounts of others.

The Chief Minister shared a joyous scooty ride with a few students and congratulated them on their accomplishments.

He also advised them to not only focus on personal achievements but to develop their abilities to benefit society.

Expressing his delight in interacting with the students, CM Yadav remarked, “It is a privilege to spend time with students today as we fulfill our commitment to distribute scooties to meritorious students. Congratulations to all!”

In a conversation with IANS, the Chief Minister announced that the government would soon provide laptops to over 21,000 meritorious students.

“We aim to encourage students at government schools to reach their goals. Laptops will be distributed to 21,000 students,” he stated.

The students who received the scooties were overwhelmed with joy and applauded CM Yadav.

Many of them expressed their emotions, highlighting the significance of the moment.

Sania Jahan, who shared a scooty ride with CM Yadav, exclaimed, “My happiness has doubled” with the Chief Minister riding the scooty she received.

“I can hardly express my joy. I feel fortunate that CM chose me for a joy ride. Now, I won’t need to wait for buses to get to college or anywhere else,” said Sania, a 12th-grade student from CM Rise School in Bhopal's Barkhedi.

Another recipient, Saloni Vishwakarma, shared, “I have been waiting for this day for so long. Finally, I have the key in my hand and can ride my scooty to college. A big thank you to CM Mohan Yadav.”
