Bhopal, Feb 19 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Wednesday that the government is dedicated to fostering job opportunities for the youth and transforming Madhya Pradesh into a modern state. He disclosed that laptops would be distributed to 89,000 meritorious students upon their completion of Class 12.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the administration is striving to offer various facilities, such as laptops and additional incentives, to students enrolled in government schools.

During the announcement set for February 21, CM Yadav specified that the funds for the laptops would be directly deposited into the respective bank accounts of the students. A total of Rs 224 crore will be allocated to 89,710 talented students who have achieved 75 percent or higher in the 2023-24 Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education Class 12 examination.

"We are devoted to providing all necessary resources to motivate our students towards academic excellence and skill development. The government is actively working to generate job opportunities for our youth. I will also support students in becoming job creators through the state's startup initiatives," stated the Chief Minister.

On February 21, 2025, the meritorious students achieving a spot on the merit list from government schools will receive Rs 25,000 for a laptop. "Best wishes to all the talented kids!" the CM expressed on X on Wednesday.

More than 89,000 meritorious students from government schools throughout the state have been selected for this initiative, with each student receiving Rs 25,000. Students who earned 75 percent or more in the MP Board Class 12 exams in 2023-24 will benefit from this scheme.

However, students from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will not receive these funds. Previously, on July 20, 2023, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced that CBSE students would also be eligible for the laptop funds.

According to the state government press release, the Chief Minister will transfer the laptop funds to the bank accounts of talented students during a state-level event at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of RCVP Noronha Administration Academy, Bhopal, on February 21 at 10:30 a.m. School Education and Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh will preside over the event.
