Bhopal, Jan 27 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, is set to commence a four-day international visit to Japan from January 27 to February 1.
During this trip, he will visit three major cities: Tokyo, Osaka, and Kobe, where he will engage with prominent industrial leaders. In his discussions with these industrialists, the Chief Minister will emphasize the investment opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh and extend an invitation for them to take part in the upcoming Global Investors Summit in Bhopal.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by senior officials, will depart for Japan from New Delhi on Monday evening. This trip is anticipated to bolster bilateral trade, unlock new investment prospects, and enhance Madhya Pradesh’s stature as a global industrial center.
On January 29, CM Yadav is scheduled to hold private meetings with business leaders at Tokyo’s Imperial Hotel. Following these meetings, he will visit the headquarters of renowned companies like Bridgestone and engage with major industry organizations, including the Japan Business Federation and JETRO.
In addition, CM Yadav will explore the industrial and cultural sites in Kyoto and conduct G2G as well as B2G meetings to foster collaborations in essential sectors. He will wrap up his Japan visit and return to New Delhi on February 1. This visit aims to attract investments in pivotal sectors such as agriculture, dairy and food processing, IT/ITeS, robotics, pharmaceuticals, electric vehicles, automobiles, urban infrastructure, aerospace, defense, and tourism. This marks CM Mohan Yadav's second overseas trip within three months, aimed at showcasing Madhya Pradesh's potential for investment and strengthening India-Japan trade relations.
Japan is a crucial trading and investment ally for Madhya Pradesh. In the fiscal year 2023-24, India-Japan trade reached $22.85 billion, with Madhya Pradesh exporting aluminium, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and textiles.
Previously, in November 2024, the Chief Minister visited London and Germany (on November 24 and 29) to attract investments for the forthcoming Global Investors' Summit (GIS).
Importantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate Madhya Pradesh's Global Investors Summit -2025 on February 24. This will be the state’s eighth Global Investors Summit (GIS-2025), held at the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind campus in Bhopal.
Before this, the Mohan Yadav-led Madhya Pradesh government conducted seven Regional Industry Conclaves between March 2024 and January 2025, securing over Rs 4 lakh crore in investments, anticipated to create more than 3 lakh job opportunities.
