Bhopal, Jan 28 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, engaged with delegates in Tokyo on Tuesday to explore investment prospects in his state.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the strengthening business ties between Madhya Pradesh and Japan.

In the fiscal year 2023-24, Madhya Pradesh exported goods valued at $92.8 million to Japan, including products such as aluminium, pharmaceuticals, and machinery.

While addressing the inaugural session, Chief Minister Yadav commended Japan for its resilience in overcoming the severe earthquakes and natural calamities.

He remarked, "Japan has had a historic association with the tradition of Gautam Buddha for millennia, and we hail from the land of Buddha, which has fostered a unique bond with Japan through the ages," said CM Yadav.

Additionally, he expressed appreciation to India's Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, for his significant efforts in fostering connections among various business entities engaged in the industry.

"Notably, the products exported from Madhya Pradesh to Japan include aluminium, organic chemicals, nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery, mechanical equipment, and pharmaceutical products," stated CM Yadav.

Chief Minister Yadav highlighted the remarkable growth of Madhya Pradesh, noting that the state's economy has tripled in almost ten years and is set to double again in the next five years.

He further mentioned that the Madhya Pradesh government has revamped policies to attract investors. He pointed out that innovative strategies introduced by the state have successfully drawn major investors in various sectors, particularly in garments, logistics, food processing, ethanol, IT, pharma, and medical devices.

Chief Minister Yadav also stated, "The Madhya Pradesh government is hosting the Global Investors Summit under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24-25, and I have come to extend an invitation to potential investors."

During an interactive session, the Chief Minister noted that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India has emerged as a prominent player on the global stage, steering towards a promising economic future.

Chief Minister Yadav departed for Japan from New Delhi on Monday evening and is expected to return on February 1.
