Bhopal, March 24 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Monday that efforts are ongoing to secure the investment proposals collected during the Global Investment Summit (GIS)-2025.

During a recent event where the foundation stone for new industrial projects worth Rs 1,000 crore was laid in Gwalior, the Chief Minister emphasized that this initiative will extend across various divisions of the state.

On Friday, Mohan Yadav inaugurated 19 industrial units in the Gwalior-Chambal region, with 11 units located in Morena, seven in Gwalior, and one in Bhind.

He noted that once these industries commence operations, they will benefit over 15,000 farmers and contribute to the prosperity of Madhya Pradesh by generating numerous employment opportunities.

Following the developments in the Gwalior-Chambal region, a Bhoomi-Pujan for an additional 25 industrial units is scheduled in the Ujjain division on Tuesday.

The government confirmed that 13 units will be established in Ujjain and 12 in other parts of the division.

Significantly, the recent GIS held in Bhopal on February 24 and 25 attracted investment proposals exceeding Rs 26.6 lakh crore, with the potential to create 17.3 lakh jobs.

In addition to GIS-Bhopal, the state government organized seven RICs throughout the past year, claiming to have received investment proposals totaling nearly Rs 30.8 lakh crore.

However, the Opposition Congress has raised questions regarding the effectiveness of the investment proposals gathered during the two-day GIS in Bhopal.

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has asserted that many of the investment proposals received during the Regional Investment Conclaves (RIC) in Ujjain in March 2024 were similar to those presented during GIS-2023 in Indore.
