Amaravati, Jan 22 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, actively engaged with executives from leading multinational companies, emphasizing the state's strategic benefits for international investments.

On the third day of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Chandrababu Naidu presented the state as a prime location for advanced technology, green energy, and infrastructure initiatives.

During his discussions with Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, he explored the possibility of establishing a design center in Visakhapatnam for the development of proprietary chips utilized in servers.

He encouraged Google Cloud to consider setting up a manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh to enhance its server supply chain.

The Chief Minister’s Office reported that he offered full support from the state government and underscored Andhra Pradesh's readiness to become a global center for server management services.

As the third-largest cloud provider worldwide, Google Cloud has already launched two cloud regions in Delhi and Mumbai. Recently, it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh government to develop a “Data City” in Visakhapatnam and promote artificial intelligence applications while enhancing skill development opportunities for the local workforce.

Chandrababu Naidu also met with Muhammad Taufik, President and Group CEO of Petronas, a prominent Malaysian oil and gas firm. Petronas aims to produce 5 million tons of green ammonia annually by 2030 and is considering investments of ₹13,000–₹15,000 crore in a green hydrogen and ammonia facility in Kakinada.

The Chief Minister urged Petronas to further invest in Mulapeta, which is evolving into a petrochemical hub, and the proposed Global Capability Center in the state. In discussions with Eugene Willemsen, CEO of PepsiCo International Beverages, and Stephen Kehoe, Chairman of PepsiCo Foundation, CM Naidu suggested transforming Visakhapatnam into a Global Delivery Center and Digital Hub for PepsiCo.

He also encouraged PepsiCo to collaborate with the Andhra Pradesh Community Natural Farming (APCNF) initiative to support local farmers through its supply chain.

The Chief Minister proposed establishing a Kurkure manufacturing unit in the state to boost industrial development and create job opportunities.

Additionally, he met with Hamad Al Mahmeed from the Bahrain Prime Minister’s Office and Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Mumtalakat. He highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s progressive industrial policies and invited investments, stressing the state’s effectiveness in supporting businesses.
