Nainar Nagenthran: No Knowledge of TVK-NDA Talks, Advises Caution to BJP Cadres
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, March 14 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu BJP chief Nainar Nagenthran has stated that he is not aware of any negotiations between actor-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) concerning a potential alliance for the upcoming Assembly elections.
Nagenthran made these comments while speaking at a BJP election media training camp hosted at a private marriage hall in Aminjikarai, Chennai, as part of preparations for the approaching elections.
The training camp featured notable attendees, including Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran, state vice-presidents Karunagarajan and Narayana Thirupathy, along with former Telangana Governor and former Tamil Nadu BJP chief Tamilisai Soundararajan.
In response to inquiries about the rumored discussions between Vijay's party and the NDA, Nagenthran expressed his ignorance on the matter. "I am unaware if the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam has engaged in talks with the NDA. I cannot confirm whether Vijay wishes to join the alliance or not," he remarked.
During his address at the training session, Nagenthran urged party leaders and spokespersons to exercise extreme caution when communicating with the media and on social media platforms.
He emphasized that political communication has become significantly more sensitive, noting that even a minor slip in wording could lead to major controversies. "Previously, discussions about caste were largely superficial. Now, it has become a deeply felt issue. Everyone has adapted their behavior according to circumstances. When addressing the media, it is crucial to be meticulous. A single misstep can lead to significant problems. I am a testament to this," he stated.
Pointing to the increasing impact of digital communication, Nagenthran stressed that political discourse in the age of artificial intelligence and social media demands disciplined messaging. He encouraged party members to adhere strictly to the narrative established by party leadership during the electoral campaign.
Furthermore, he urged BJP cadres to actively promote the party's achievements and welfare initiatives through social media and community outreach.
Nagenthran expressed concerns over the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu, highlighting issues such as violence against women and the alarming rise in ganja usage, which he deemed serious challenges for the state. He remarked that the police, under the Chief Minister's purview, must take decisive actions to tackle these problems.
With confidence ahead of the elections, he affirmed that the NDA would certainly form a government in Tamil Nadu, although he cautioned that discussions regarding specific political alliances were still premature.
"The DMK government must be removed, and our campaign messages should concentrate on governance failures, law and order issues, and drug-related problems," he concluded.
