New Delhi, Oct 3 (NationPress) Gautam Adani, the Chairman of the Adani Group, referred to the Navi Mumbai International Airport as the outcome of “every hand and heart” that contributed to its construction. The airport is slated for inauguration on October 8.
“To every hand that contributed and every heart that cared, this is your creation,” Gautam Adani expressed in a message on the social media platform X.
The billionaire entrepreneur made this statement while sharing a post from his son, Jeet Adani, on X.
Jeet Adani, who is the Director of Adani Airports, described his father's gesture of gratitude towards the workforce as a “deeply touching and humbling lesson”.
“Some monuments are constructed from concrete, while others are built through gratitude. Observing my father traverse the Navi Mumbai International Airport, acknowledging every hand and heart involved in its creation, was a deeply touching and humbling lesson in leadership. Jai Hind,” Jeet Adani remarked.
During an earlier visit to the airport, Gautam Adani referred to it as “a monument shaped by thousands of hands and hearts”.
The industrialist also honored the contributions of differently-abled colleagues, construction workers, and other personnel involved in the airport's development and expressed his gratitude.
The Navi Mumbai International Airport Private is designed to serve both domestic and international travelers, offering state-of-the-art facilities.
It features a 3,700-meter runway capable of accommodating large commercial aircraft, modern passenger terminals, and advanced air traffic control systems.
The airport is projected to manage 2 crore passengers annually (MPPA) and meet the growing air traffic requirements of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Western India, while enhancing India’s global connectivity.
Located 14 km from Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) Sea Port, 22 km from Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Taloja Industrial area, 35 km from Mumbai Port Trust (via the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link), 32 km from Thane, and 40 km from Bhiwandi, the airport is strategically positioned.
