This team comprised members from the local police station and the Special Task Force of Bihar.
Leveraging precise intelligence, the team conducted the raid on Thursday evening.
During this operation, police apprehended Ajit Kumar (31). Following his interrogation, authorities retrieved an AK-47 rifle, two .315 bore rifles, two AK-47 magazines, and three ammunition pouches, all of which had been concealed beneath a mango tree close to his home.
Additionally, officers seized three sets of camouflage uniforms resembling military attire from the scene.
During questioning, the suspect allegedly admitted that he and his associates utilized firearms to coerce contractors and extract money from them.
Due to the ongoing police crackdown in the vicinity, he had buried the weapons underground.
Following his disclosures, police further uncovered 21 cartridges for the AK-47 and 10 cartridges for the .315 bore rifles.
An FIR has been lodged at Rajouli Police Station in connection with this case, and further legal actions are in progress.
SP Abhinav Dhiman stated that other gang members have been identified, and police teams are actively pursuing arrests.
This operation has instilled fear among extortion groups operating in the area.
