NDA Leaders Celebrate Samrat Choudhary's Swearing-in as Bihar CM

Patna, April 15 (NationPress) A wave of congratulations came from leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), particularly from BJP and JD(U), for Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday as he was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Bihar, following Nitish Kumar's election to the Rajya Sabha. The leaders expressed optimism that Choudhary would adhere to the developmental vision established by former CM Nitish Kumar.
Alongside Choudhary, senior JD(U) figures Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Vijendra Prasad Yadav took their oaths as Deputy Chief Ministers as part of the alliance.
After the ceremony, newly appointed Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Chaudhary stated, "The objectives of the new government are already set. Our Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has acknowledged, and we all concur, that Bihar will progress on the path of development, effective governance, and inclusive growth initiated by Nitish Kumar."
The Deputy CM highlighted that the new administration would continue the projects initiated by former CM Nitish Kumar.
"We are dedicated to advancing Bihar along the same route that he (Kumar) has paved. All of us, including Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, have collaborated with him (Kumar). Therefore, I believe that the ongoing initiatives launched by Nitish Kumar will see completion under the new government," he remarked.
Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed confidence in CM Samrat Choudhary's leadership abilities.
He stated, "Samrat Choudhary is astute and seasoned. He was a member of our cabinet. The Patna Metro project is our brainchild. Samrat Choudhary served as the Urban Development Minister, and we had sent him to Delhi to facilitate this project, which he successfully advanced."
Similarly, Bihar Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar remarked, "Samrat Choudhary possesses significant experience in governance and organization, having performed commendably. Under his guidance, Bihar will witness the rule of law. His administration will strive to actualize the schemes introduced by both the central and Bihar governments for farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged."
"The new government will work to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' in Bihar," he added.
Union Minister of State Nityanand Rai also mentioned, "Bihar will advance on the path of progress under the guidance of JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar and with the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) leader Upendra Kushwaha extended his backing to CM Choudhary in fulfilling his responsibilities. "He has been entrusted with a vital role, and we are all united in supporting him to execute it effectively," he stated.
BJP leader Dilip Kumar Jaiswal asserted, "Nitish Kumar has mapped out a development strategy for Bihar through 'Saat Nishchay-3', the Pragati Yatra, and the Samriddhi Yatra. Under Samrat Choudhary's leadership, this vision of development will be realized."
In his greetings to the new CM, BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav expressed hope, saying, "Bihar will thrive under his (Choudhary's) guidance. The aspirations of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar will be achieved."
"Bihar will progress further under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary," affirmed state BJP President Sanjay Saraogi.
BJP National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain noted that the party is "fortunate to have secured the Chief Minister position within the NDA."
"This is an NDA administration, and it will continue the initiatives initiated by Nitish Kumar," he added.
While congratulating the new CM and Deputy CMs, JD(U) MP Kaushalendra Kumar observed, "From what I witnessed at the swearing-in, there appears to be lingering affection for Nitish Kumar among the populace."
He acknowledged that the new Chief Minister faces a significant challenge.
"Samrat Choudhary has a monumental task ahead of him. The efforts Nitish Kumar has put forth over the past 20 years... (it remains to be seen) how he sustains that momentum," Kumar concluded.
