Patna, May 13 (NationPress) Janata Dal (United) MLC Neeraj Kumar strongly criticized the Bihar Congress on Tuesday for what he termed an “irresponsible” social media post on platform X, which allegedly included images of the four suspects involved in the Pahalgam terror attack.
In a pointed video address, Kumar denounced the action as a “serious breach of national security protocols.”
“If the Congress possessed any information regarding the accused, they should have reported it to the Union Home Ministry, PMO, Indian Army, Bihar DGP, or even their national president Mallikarjun Kharge, instead of making it public on social media,” he remarked.
Kumar emphasized that disseminating the terrorists' photos without collaborating with security agencies is extremely irresponsible.
He lambasted Congress leaders for their “failure” to tag or notify any relevant national or state-level security officials through their social media post.
“The Congress should have directed this information to national leaders or security agencies, rather than merely posting it online for political gain,” he asserted.
Referring to the sacrifice of BSF Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz, a Bihar native who was killed in Jammu and Kashmir during an anti-terror operation, Kumar said, “At a moment when the Prime Minister is advocating for an all-party meeting on national security and when a son of Bihar has sacrificed his life for the nation, the Congress is engaged in irresponsible social media antics.”
He challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi with the question, “What kind of Congress is this? The party that once opposed terrorism is now recklessly sharing images of alleged terrorists?”
Earlier that day, the Bihar Congress shared a post related to the Pahalgam attack on X, claiming that “Operation Sindoor is incomplete as the accused remain at large.”
That post featured images purportedly of the attackers, igniting political controversy.
Kumar insisted that if the Bihar Congress has credible information, it ought to be submitted to the relevant authorities for investigation, rather than disseminated on public forums.
