NIA Executes Coordinated Raids in Muzaffarpur and Vaishali Linked to Confiscated AK-47s

Patna, Dec 18 (NationPress) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) executed simultaneous raids in Muzaffarpur and Vaishali on Wednesday morning as part of an investigation concerning two AK-47 assault rifles.

One prominent location targeted was the home of Bhola Rai, the village head of Mankauli Panchayat in Muzaffarpur.

The operation at Bhola Rai's residence commenced around 3 A.M., assisted by local law enforcement.

The NIA team conducted a meticulous search of the property, confiscating various documents.

However, officials have yet to reveal specifics about the items seized.

This investigation dates back to July of this year when two AK-47 assault rifles were recovered from Muzaffarpur railway station and a nearby cremation ground by district police, with connections to the village head’s son. Since then, both individuals have been under the NIA’s scrutiny.

In addition to the Muzaffarpur raid, the NIA also targeted the residence of advocate Sandeep Sinha in Vaishali.

This raid is believed to be linked to the ongoing investigation concerning the confiscation of the two AK-47 assault rifles in Muzaffarpur.

NIA officials, however, have not provided details regarding the items seized from Sinha's residence.

This operation seems to be part of a systematic effort to collect evidence and investigate individuals who may be involved in the acquisition of these sophisticated weapons.

Further updates are anticipated as the investigation progresses.

This operation highlights the agency's commitment to dismantling networks and individuals potentially associated with this case.

Previously, the NIA executed a raid in Bajpatti Goth village, under the jurisdiction of the Bajpatti police station in Sitamarhi district, Bihar. This operation occurred early on December 12, around 4 A.M.

The NIA team detained a man named Mohammad Aleem, a chicken vendor, from his residence for questioning. He was subsequently taken to the Bajpatti police station.

The specific reasons for this raid were not disclosed by the central agency.
