Will Nishikant Dubey Establish a Library of Published and Banned Books on the Nehru-Gandhi Family?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Feb 6 (NationPress) In light of the ongoing dispute following Rahul Gandhi's challenge to the Central government regarding the quoting of excerpts from an unpublished memoir by former Army Chief General M.M. Naravane, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey announced on Friday his plans to create a library that will be open to the public, offering insights into the contributions of the Nehru-Gandhi family, featuring both published and banned literature.
Dubey, known for his critiques of the Congress party and the Gandhi family, escalated his assault on Thursday by unveiling a list of 40 books he claims reveal the 'true history' of India and the alleged controversies surrounding Congress’ governance.
In an interview with IANS, Nishikant Dubey stated, “When I spoke a couple of days ago about books, their complexities, deceptions, and propaganda, many individuals from across the nation reached out to me. They expressed a need for a compilation, a centralized location where all the books can be accessed—a library. Priyanka Gandhi, who was recently elected, also suggested in Parliament that if discussions about Nehru are to be held, there should at least be some discourse on Nehru. I found her suggestion valuable.”
He explained that the initiative aims to create a comprehensive platform where individuals can access information and form their own opinions. The proposed library will include both published and banned books, available in physical format, online, and via an app.
Furthermore, Dubey remarked that the ongoing security and border challenges faced by the nation are connected to decisions made during the Congress regime.
“If we are in conflict with China, and there are claims that they have encroached on our lands, I want to question how China became our neighbor? The British left Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet as buffer states. We had no border with China. If China is now encroaching upon us, it’s a result of your actions,” he conveyed to IANS.
The BJP MP also highlighted issues related to Article 370, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Kashmir.
“Additionally, you implemented Article 370... created Pakistan, and divided our nation, which has led to ongoing battles. We are currently at odds with Bangladesh. Pakistan has taken control over parts of Kashmir... You have advanced your business interests... but how did Anderson manage to escape the country? Even today, we question whether the children born in Bhopal will have disabilities,” he stated to IANS.
Dubey also probed Congress’ purported connections with the Communist Party of China and referenced other controversies.
“Consider this: what is your relationship with the Communist Party of China? How did you reach an agreement in 2008? ... The Bofors scandal transpired. Such matters should be known to our citizens. Since our rise to power, social media has emerged, and 24/7 news channels are available. However, the public remains uninformed about how religion has been compromised, how Muslim appeasement occurred, and how vote bank politics function. They are unaware of these issues,” he remarked.
Dubey emphasized that citizens should be educated about matters concerning Kashmir, Pakistan, the Northeast, and border disputes with Myanmar. He believes this initiative will facilitate public understanding of the Nehru-Gandhi family's contributions based on book information.
He also called upon citizens nationwide to share information regarding various issues.
“We will compile this information, and the public will have the final say. We will establish this library. I have invited the citizens of the country to provide information about events like the nuclear device launch in Nanda Devi, and submit their findings to us. This one-stop information hub will be accessible through an app, online, and in physical form, serving as a valuable resource for researchers,” he concluded.
