Key Takeaways
Patna, March 14 (NationPress) Bihar's Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, showed a moment of dissatisfaction during a public gathering when a number of attendees—especially women—started to leave while he was speaking on Saturday.
This incident took place during his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra in Begusarai.
While he was emphasizing his government's accomplishments, Nitish Kumar observed a portion of the audience departing.
In response, he paused his address to engage with them directly.
“Why are you leaving? Should I just stop?” the Chief Minister questioned from the podium.
Despite his initial remarks, when some individuals continued to exit, he called attention to the audience again, noting that a few were still attempting to leave.
After his comments, the audience reportedly calmed down, and many attendees opted to stay to hear the remainder of his speech.
During his address, Nitish Kumar reflected on the conditions in Bihar prior to his first term starting on November 24, 2005, mentioning that people previously hesitated to go outside after dark.
He asserted that the law and order situation has improved considerably since then.
He highlighted various achievements of his administration, including women’s empowerment, reservation for women, fostering religious harmony, infrastructure growth, enhancing educational access, job creation, improved road connectivity, and healthcare services.
Additionally, he emphasized the success of the Jeevika program, which has significantly benefited women across the state.
As part of the yatra, the Chief Minister assessed the development of the State Medical College and Hospital under construction in Begusarai and instructed officials to ensure the project is completed on schedule while adhering to quality standards.
At the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) Industrial Growth Centre in Barauni, he laid the foundation for 189 projects and inaugurated 211 others, presenting them to the public.
This included the launch of Nature Polyplast Limited, where he evaluated the products produced at the facility.
Several prominent figures were present at the event, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary.
During the event, Samrat Chaudhary stated that development in Bihar will persist under Nitish Kumar’s guidance.
He also noted the collaboration between the state and central governments led by Narendra Modi, characterizing it as a double-engine government aimed at expediting development in Bihar.
