Patna, Sep 6 (NationPress) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday laid the foundation stones and inaugurated a series of development schemes worth over Rs 1,200 crore in the districts of Bhojpur and Buxar.
The initiatives encompass a diverse array of sectors, including roads, bridges, electricity, drainage systems, health facilities, and cultural heritage sites.
In Bhojpur district, Kumar laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 432 schemes valued at Rs 740.38 crore.
Among these, 92 projects related to roads, bridges, electricity, buildings, and development amounting to Rs 211.19 crore were inaugurated by him.
A prominent project includes the expansion of the Ara-Buxar highway from four lanes to six lanes via Babura, costing Rs 105.16 crore. Other significant projects are the storm water drainage system at Rs 87 crore, the Vampali to Pakri Chowk road widening valued at Rs 53.94 crore, and the beautification of the Dev Surya Mandir complex at Tarari block worth Rs 14 crore.
In Buxar district, 28 schemes worth Rs 504.82 crore were also launched by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Among these, 23 schemes concerning health centres, buildings, electricity, and development valued at Rs 180 crore were inaugurated.
Key projects include the strengthening and blacktopping of the Buxar-Koilwar Ganga embankment over 51.72 km for Rs 181.26 crore, and the widening of the Bhojpur–Simri road over 9.3 km at a cost of Rs 51.98 crore.
During the NDA workers’ conference in Jagdishpur (Bhojpur), CM Nitish Kumar underscored, “The unity of the NDA is the cornerstone of Bihar’s development.”
He encouraged party members to spread awareness regarding welfare schemes such as the Social Security Pension raised to Rs 1,100, and 125 units of free electricity.
The Chief Minister also engaged with beneficiaries at stalls set up by various departments in Jagdishpur and reviewed ongoing development initiatives.
Prominent NDA leaders, including Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, and others, were present during the events.
