The grand event, held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel College in Bhabua, saw the launch of 178 projects valued at Rs 980.15 crore specifically for Kaimur district.
Among these, the foundation stones for 51 projects costing Rs 854.66 crore were laid, while 127 projects worth Rs 125.49 crore were inaugurated.
Key projects include the Zamania–Kakrait Ganga Water Lift Irrigation Scheme at Rs 528.44 crore, the widening of the Kudra–Chenari–Malhipur road at Rs 147 crore, and the Rehal–Chaurasan temple road via Rohtasgarh Fort at Rs 66.89 crore.
Additional efforts encompass roads, new degree colleges, playgrounds, and 175 other infrastructure projects totaling over Rs 239 crore.
In Sasaram, the district capital of Rohtas, Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the groundwork for projects worth Rs 931 crore at the School Education Project campus, which includes electricity, urban development, and canal-path widening initiatives introduced earlier during his Pragati Yatra.
The Chief Minister engaged with pension beneficiaries, Jeevika Didis, electricity users, and local laborers, instructing officials to swiftly resolve their issues.
During a workers’ discussion at Fazalganj New Stadium in Sasaram, Nitish Kumar criticized the Lalu Prasad Yadav family, stating, “In the past, women from only one family were uplifted. Since our administration took over, we have been empowering women from all corners of society.”
He also pointed out fencing measures, emphasizing that while previous administrations focused solely on graveyard fencing, his government is now ensuring that temples and graveyards older than seven years are also fenced to uphold communal harmony.
Nitish Kumar expressed confidence that these projects will enhance living standards, boost connectivity, and chart a new course for regional development in Bihar.
