Patna, Sep 28 (NationPress) On Sunday, Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the groundwork for 185 development projects amounting to Rs 1,585.59 crore at the Sabeya Airfield complex in Gopalganj district.
The initiatives encompass the foundation stone for 124 projects worth Rs 1,295.85 crore and the inauguration of 61 projects valued at Rs 289.74 crore.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister engaged with Jivika Didis, pensioners, and other beneficiaries, emphasizing the government’s dedication to rural development and welfare programs.
Following the events in Gopalganj, Nitish Kumar also inaugurated and laid the foundation for 331 schemes valued at Rs 744.85 crore at a public gathering at Degree College, Goraul in Vaishali district later that day.
These schemes, many introduced during the Pragati Yatra, aspire to accelerate development, upgrade infrastructure, and enhance the living standards for local inhabitants.
Earlier, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for a new Degree College at Goraul and examined a 3D model of the proposed campus.
Nitish Kumar also interacted with pensioners, Jivika Didis, Anganwadi Sevikas, Sahayikas, and other beneficiaries, stressing the government’s emphasis on welfare and community involvement.
The Chief Minister has been actively touring two districts daily, inaugurating and launching projects ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
This initiative comes as the Election Commission is anticipated to announce polling dates soon, after which the Model Code of Conduct will take effect.
On Saturday, Nitish Kumar launched a significant development initiative by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for projects exceeding Rs 8,900 crore across Katihar and Madhubani districts.
At the first event, conducted at the campus of Gandhi Senior Secondary High School in Narhiya Panchayat of Sameli block, Katihar, the Chief Minister unveiled 242 schemes worth Rs 583 crore.
He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 25 development schemes valued at Rs 8,328.82 crore in Madhubani.
