Patna, March 24 (NationPress) On Tuesday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar embarked on his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ by visiting the districts of Kaimur and Rohtas, where he officially inaugurated and laid the groundwork for numerous development initiatives.
In Kaimur, the Chief Minister initiated 43 projects valued at Rs 47 crore and inaugurated 161 schemes estimated at Rs 162 crore.
During his visit, he explored exhibitions organized by various governmental departments, engaged with beneficiaries, and gathered comprehensive feedback regarding the execution of welfare programs.
He also distributed checks to beneficiaries as part of several government initiatives.
A standout moment of the visit was the launch of a Jungle Safari in the Kaimur Forest Division at Bhabhua, designed to enhance eco-tourism in the area.
Continuing his journey, Nitish Kumar attended various ‘Adarsh Anganwadi’ (model childcare) centers, where he interacted with children and offered encouragement.
At the ‘Jan Samvad’ (public dialogue) event in Kaimur, he addressed local residents, commending them for the new development projects and encouraging a collective effort for the advancement of both Kaimur and the state of Bihar.
After concluding his activities in Kaimur, Nitish Kumar proceeded to Rohtas, where he outlined a comprehensive strategy for the district’s development and reiterated his government’s commitment to elevate it further.
During this visit, he laid the foundation for 129 projects worth Rs 321 crore and inaugurated 179 schemes valued at Rs 159 crore, covering various sectors in a concerted effort to improve infrastructure and public welfare in the district.
A significant emphasis was placed on water resource management.
The Chief Minister examined the construction sites of the ‘Intake Well’ and ‘Weir’ (barrage) projects on the Sone River, aimed at optimizing surface water use.
He also reviewed a 3D model of the proposed Water Treatment Plant and provided necessary instructions to officials.
Additionally, he conducted a site inspection of the plant's construction and, via remote control, inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several other schemes throughout Rohtas.
Nitish Kumar also visited stalls presenting various government schemes, engaged with beneficiaries, and distributed checks under welfare programs.
During a large gathering at the ‘Jansamvad’ (Public Dialogue) program, he reaffirmed the state government's dedication to development and congratulated the people of Rohtas on the new projects.
He urged citizens to unite towards realizing the vision of a “Developed Bihar.”
Several notable leaders attended the event, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, alongside ministers such as Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Sunil Kumar, and Deepak Prakash.
Lawmakers, including MLAs and MLCs from various constituencies within Rohtas and neighboring regions, were also present, making this gathering a significant political and developmental event in the district.
