Patna, Oct 4 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, has ceremoniously laid the foundation stone for a new Mother Dairy facility, which operates under the National Dairy Board, in Jamalpur, Munger. This significant event took place on Saturday and is viewed as a landmark moment for the district.
The ambitious project will span across 15 acres and is estimated at a cost of Rs 250 crore.
This dairy plant is anticipated to generate 250 direct job opportunities, with plans for milk collection to commence from local villages, supported by chilling plants established in the area.
Initially, the facility will have a milk collection capacity of 100,000 litres per day, which is expected to increase to 200,000 litres in the near future.
Additionally, the Chief Minister unveiled schemes totaling Rs 12,000 crore aimed at benefiting Munger and its neighboring regions.
In his address, Nitish Kumar mentioned that the state aims to provide government jobs and employment opportunities for 1 crore youth in Bihar over the next five years.
He emphasized that under the NDA government, 10 lakh individuals have secured government positions, while 40 lakh others have found jobs.
The ongoing construction of the Ganga Pathway connecting Munger to Bhagalpur, valued at approximately Rs 10,000 crore, was also highlighted by the Chief Minister.
“Construction of the Haldia Expressway is in progress, along with a ring road in Tarapur. We are also renovating Rishikund and beautifying Kashtharanini Ghat, enhancing tourist access to Bhim Dam, and improving facilities at the yoga school,” he added.
Moreover, Nitish Kumar introduced the newly launched Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, which provides Rs 10,000 to one woman from each household, with potential financial support up to Rs 2 lakh for those excelling in business.
He also mentioned an increase in senior citizens’ pensions from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100 and assured 125 units of free electricity for every household.
Additionally, he laid the foundation for mustard seed processing initiatives worth Rs 209 crore in Munger.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary remarked that Bihar is advancing towards prosperity, with projects like the Mother Dairy and Coca-Cola factories establishing operations in the state.
Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, commended Nitish Kumar's dedication to Bihar's development.
He pointed out that previous administrations did little for Munger, while the current NDA government has introduced the rule of law, improved infrastructure, and focused on public welfare.
“Bihar is on a path towards prosperity. The rule of law is established, development is evident, and Munger is witnessing significant projects,” Singh stated at the JSA Ground in Jamalpur.
