Patna, Aug 16 (NationPress) Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar revealed on Saturday that his administration successfully met its goal of creating 50 lakh jobs through the Saat Nishchay Part-2 initiative initiated in 2020.
In a recent post on the social media platform X, the CM stated, "Following the announcements under Saat Nishchay Part-2, our government has accomplished the target of providing government jobs and employment to 50 lakh young individuals. We are now aiming to create 1 crore jobs in the next five years."
CM Nitish further emphasized the state’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and self-employment by providing various facilities.
To enhance private investment, he also introduced a special economic package aimed at industries within Bihar.
"As part of this package, the incentives for capital subsidy, interest subsidy, and GST will be doubled," he noted, underscoring the government's dedication to promoting industrial growth while generating employment.
The CM announced that land will be designated in each district for new industries, with free land offered to those that generate significant employment opportunities. He assured that land allotment disputes will be prioritized for resolution.
"All these incentives will be extended to entrepreneurs who establish industries in the next six months. In addition, several other provisions have been made to support entrepreneurs. A comprehensive notification will be issued separately," stated CM Nitish.
The Chief Minister added that the aim of these initiatives is to equip Bihar's youth with skills, promote self-reliance, and maximize employment prospects.
Political analysts note that this series of announcements, which include employment and industry-friendly measures, comes ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, with the Nitish Kumar government rolling out new schemes daily to attract various voter demographics.
These initiatives are being implemented to combat the issue of mass migration, a significant concern in this electoral cycle.
