Hubballi (Karnataka), Jan 15 (NationPress) The president of the Karnataka BJP and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra asserted on Wednesday that no reconciliation is achievable between the conflicting factions of the ruling Congress party within the state.

Vijayendra emphasized that Siddaramaiah’s resignation as Chief Minister is on the horizon.

During a media briefing in Hubballi, Vijayendra addressed inquiries regarding reports of internal strife within the Congress, asserting that regardless of attempts made, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah must vacate his role.

Moreover, Vijayendra accused CM Siddaramaiah's family of illegally acquiring plots designated for the underprivileged. He noted that while the plots have been returned, the malfeasance persists, and this does not absolve him from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority scam (MUDA).

He also claimed that the government has filed fabricated cases against petitioner Snehamayi Krishna, suggesting it is part of a broader scheme.

Vijayendra commended Snehamayi Krishna for her perseverance in the legal battle, expressing optimism that the High Court would assign the case to the CBI for investigation.

He alleged that the scam involves not merely 14 plots but exceeds Rs 5,000 crore, accusing CM Siddaramaiah and the Karnataka government of selling thousands of plots to real estate agents since gaining power.

Vijayendra indicated that the BJP has consistently fought to bring the MUDA case to a logical conclusion, including organizing a foot march from Bengaluru to Mysuru.

He mentioned that CM Siddaramaiah initially refuted any wrongdoing but later, under pressure and due to BJP's efforts, his wife returned the plots to MUDA without seeking compensation.

In the meantime, the Karnataka High Court’s Dharwad Bench on Wednesday postponed the hearing on the petition requesting a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the MUDA case until January 27.

The Bench, led by Justice M. Nagaprasanna, further ordered the Lokayukta Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) to present the investigation report a day before the next hearing.
