Bhubaneswar, Jan 26 (NationPress) The Governor of Odisha, Hari Babu Kambhampati, ceremoniously raised the national flag during the state-level Republic Day celebrations at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

He reviewed the parade, taking the salute from the various marching contingents in a remarkable display by security forces. A total of 43 contingents, comprising 17 from the armed forces and 26 civilian groups from local educational institutions, participated in the parade.

The event featured security personnel from the Odisha Police, Border Security Force, Odisha State Armed Police, Central Reserve Police Force, and Indo-Tibetan Border Police, among others. Students from Maharishi College of Natural Law delivered an astonishing daredevil performance that captivated the audience.

Additionally, students from the Odisha Skating Academy showcased their skills during the event at Mahatma Gandhi Marg. Various artistic groups presented traditional cultural performances, including Sambalpuri, Ghoda, and tribal dances. A platoon from the neighboring Jharkhand Police also participated in the parade, which was part of the state-level Republic Day festivities.

Different departments of the Odisha government highlighted various themes reflecting the state’s flagship programs through 12 impressive tableaux.

“Embrace the spirit of our nation and the pride of our constitution,” Governor Kambhampati expressed on his official X handle, extending warm greetings to all citizens.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi hoisted the national flag in Cuttack and took the salute at the district-level Republic Day celebration. Likewise, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida attended the Republic Day functions in Puri and Khordha, respectively.

Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari was present at the celebration in Sundargarh, while Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Nayak, School and Mass Education Minister Nityanand Gond, and Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra participated in the Republic Day events at Subarnapur, Koraput, and Jagatsinghpur respectively.

Numerous other ministers and dignitaries attended Republic Day celebrations across district headquarters throughout the state.
