Srinagar International Airport is scheduled to shut from 1 October to 15 October 2026 for essential runway maintenance and resurfacing. He urged the Railway Ministry to increase the frequency of Vande Bharat trains during the shutdown to provide a reliable alternative to air travel and prevent disruption to tourism and commerce.
