The J&K General Administration Department (GAD) established committees in February to guarantee a smooth, secure, and transparent examination process for NTA-administered tests.
“All essential arrangements have been finalized at the UT level. The NEET test will be executed across various districts in both Kashmir and Jammu divisions. In the Kashmir division, locations include Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, and Pulwama. Meanwhile, in the Jammu division, centres will function in districts such as Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, and Kathua,” officials stated.
To maintain security and transparency, CCTV systems have been installed at all examination centres. The logistics and monitoring framework have been fully established, the officials added.
Pradeep Singh Kharola, Director General of the NTA, announced that the NEET (UG) 2025 examination will occur from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 5,453 centres nationwide, including 13 international cities.
A historic 2.27 million candidates have registered for the examination.
Kharola also confirmed that all preparations for the test, including security measures and contingency plans, are finalized.
“Mock drills were conducted yesterday at all test centres to ensure readiness,” the director remarked.
The NEET (UG) examination is the largest medical entrance test in the country for undergraduate courses in MBBS, BDS, and other allied programs, vital for medical aspirants across the nation.
In Jammu and Kashmir, there are over 1,347 MBBS seats available in 12 medical colleges across various districts.
Security has been enhanced at all centres in light of the examination.
More than 22.7 lakh aspirants are poised to take part in this crucial medical entrance examination, which will be held at 5,453 centres in more than 500 cities across the country.
To foster transparency and deter malpractice, the NTA has provided detailed guidelines along with the admit cards and exam city slips. Candidates must strictly follow the rules set forth by the testing agency. Any form of cheating, impersonation, or use of unfair means will result in severe penalties, including cancellation of results and a three-year ban from any NTA-run examination.
