Patna, Dec 8 (NationPress) Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav, has vehemently condemned the current anti-encroachment initiative and the bulldozer actions occurring in Bihar. Following the demolition efforts in Begusarai, the MP reached out to the families impacted by the destruction of their homes and shops, expressing profound anger over their plight.
Labeling the NDA government's actions as inhumane, Pappu Yadav remarked, “Bihar is being governed by a Genghis Khan-like authority. How is it permissible to demolish the dwellings of the impoverished without prior notice?”
He stated that he has brought this issue to the attention of Parliament and urged the government to provide land for the resettlement of families displaced in the harsh winter.
Pappu Yadav questioned the legality of the demolition campaign, demanding to know under whose authority bulldozers were activated and whether any judicial orders or notifications were issued before the settlements were destroyed.
He expressed, “Do the less fortunate not deserve the right to reside in Bihar? Many took loans to establish their homes, only to have them obliterated in mere seconds. Now, families, including the elderly and children, are left to fend for themselves in the cold, exposed to the elements.”
The MP claimed that approximately 1,500 houses have been demolished in Bihar under the governance of Nitish Kumar's NDA administration.
He further mentioned that he has communicated with a minister regarding this situation, emphasizing that rehabilitation must precede any eviction or enforcement actions.
Describing the current state as “Inspector Raj,” he criticized the government for stripping the poor of their fundamental living rights.
Yadav also pointed out the rising inequality, stating, “Individuals wearing slippers are denied the right to own land or even travel by air. Those who do fly are paying exorbitant prices for tickets.”
He criticized the government’s ambition to become a global leader while simultaneously demolishing the shelters of the marginalized and failing to ensure their peace.
Accusing the administration of being manipulated by a select few, Pappu Yadav stated, “Not even the Jallianwala Bagh massacre saw such brutalities inflicted upon the poor as we witness today.”
