Patna, March 15 (NationPress) Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan, known as Pappu Yadav, vehemently criticized the Nitish Kumar administration and its officials following the murder of Munger ASI. He asserted that the circumstances in Bihar are more dire than those in Syria.
"The situation in India is more alarming than Syria, and Bihar is in an even worse state. The 13.5 crore citizens of Bihar are left to fend for themselves. Only criminals, politicians, middlemen, and senior bureaucrats are secure here," Yadav stated while addressing members of the press.
He further remarked, "Nitish Kumar is unwell, and the entire administrative system is mired in corruption."
Yadav highlighted several recent criminal activities in the state, such as the murder of another ASI officer in Araria on March 12, thefts from jewelry stores in Purnea, Hajipur, and Ara, as well as numerous rapes and murders, along with other serious violent occurrences throughout Bihar.
He accused political leaders in the state of protecting criminals.
"We protested by shutting down Bihar twice, but I'm not even permitted to speak in the House. The Lok Sabha Speaker claimed that law and order is a state issue and cannot be debated in Parliament," Yadav expressed.
The murder of Singh has sparked a political outcry, with opposition members and allies voicing concerns regarding the law and order situation in the state.
Singh suffered severe injuries during a confrontation with villagers in Munger and eventually succumbed to them.
The incident unfolded in Nandlalpur village on Friday night, when a DIAL 112 team was alerted about an individual named Ranveer Kumar causing a disturbance while intoxicated.
A DIAL 112 team, led by ASI Singh, was dispatched to manage the situation. Upon arrival, when he attempted to intervene, Ranveer, Guddu, and their family members assaulted the police team with sharp weapons, gravely injuring Santosh.
He was taken to a private hospital, where doctors referred him to Patna, where he unfortunately passed away. ASI Singh, a resident of Mohania block in Kaimur, had been posted at the Mufassil police station for a year.
The post-mortem of Santosh was conducted, and his body was sent back to Kaimur from Munger. The Munger range DIG, District Magistrate, and Superintendent of Police paid their respects to ASI Santosh Kumar Singh, who was also honored with a guard of honor at the police line.
