New Delhi, Aug 15 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Independence Day speech from the historic Red Fort, conveyed a strong message to the global community regarding the US tariff threats, asserting that he stands as a protector for farmers and that India will never waver in defending their interests.
“Modi serves as a protector for farmers, fishermen, and other essential workers in India against any detrimental policies. India will steadfastly uphold their interests,” he declared.
PM Modi emphasized that India is “unstoppable” and that it’s time for the nation to showcase its capabilities in international markets with high-quality goods.
“This is our moment to make history. We must dominate the global market and reduce production costs. It’s time to demonstrate our strength in international markets with superior products,” he stated during his Independence Day address.
He reminded the 1.4 billion citizens that only those who labor diligently make history.
“Those who have persevered can alter the course of time itself. This is the moment, the precise moment, to reshape our destiny,” the Prime Minister asserted.
He called for a commitment towards building a ‘Samarth Bharat’ (Strong India), just as the freedom fighters envisioned a liberated India.
“We should not squander our energy on undermining others; our attention must be on fortifying ourselves,” he advised.
In the agricultural sector, PM Modi noted that approximately 100 districts were identified where farmers required additional assistance. To bolster their efforts, the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana was initiated. “Modi stands as a protector for farmers, fishermen, and other vital workforces of India against any adverse policies. India will never compromise with their interests,” he reiterated firmly.
He explained that benefits from numerous development initiatives are being delivered to small farmers, livestock keepers, and fishermen. “Whether through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, rainwater harvesting, irrigation schemes, or quality seeds, farmers now possess confidence in every domain,” he remarked.
PM Modi pointed out that India has secured the second position globally in the production of wheat, rice, fruits, and vegetables. “The agricultural products cultivated by our farmers are now reaching international markets. Agro exports have reached a value of Rs four lakh crore,” he stated.
