PM Modi Aims to Engage 100,000 Young People in Politics

New Delhi, Dec 9 (NationPress) The youth of our nation must step up to steer the country in politics just as they have excelled in technology and other sectors, stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
While speaking at an event at Ramakrishna Math in Gujarat through video conferencing, PM Modi underscored the Government’s commitment to involve 100,000 dynamic and skilled young individuals in politics in the near future.
He mentioned that these young leaders would represent the new era of Indian politics in the 21st century and be pivotal for the country’s future.
Pointing out the immense potential of the nation’s youthful population, PM Modi emphasized the importance of equipping the youth for leadership roles across all aspects of nation-building.
“Our youth must take charge of the country in politics just as they have in technology and other sectors,” he remarked.
The Prime Minister declared that the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 12, 2025, will be recognized as Youth Day.
In celebration of Youth Day, the Government plans to host a Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue in Delhi, inviting 2,000 selected participants from across the nation, alongside millions of youth joining from all over India.
He further mentioned that discussions will revolve around the vision of a developed India from the youth's perspective and a strategic plan to connect the youth with politics will be formulated during the event.
Quoting Swami Vivekananda on the strength of youth, the Prime Minister asserted that the moment has arrived for India to advance, and we must embrace this responsibility.
He added that India has embarked on a new journey of Amrit Kaal and is committed to transitioning into a developed nation.
Highlighting the necessity to realize the aim of Viksit Bharat 2047 within a specified timeline, PM Modi stated, “India is the youngest nation globally, whose youth have demonstrated their capabilities and potential worldwide.”
It is the vigor of India's youth that is propelling the world's largest companies and spearheading the nation's development, he concluded.
