New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in the significant national event commemorating ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ today. The ceremony will commence around 12:15 PM at Bharat Mandapam, where the Prime Minister is expected to address the audience.

‘Veer Baal Diwas’ is a day dedicated to celebrating the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of the Sahibzades - Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the beloved sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Their martyrdom at such a young age is one of the most touching narratives in India's past, representing steadfast courage in the face of oppression.

This annual observance was first declared by PM Modi during the Prakash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji in January 2022.

To celebrate this occasion, the Government of India is launching a series of engaging activities nationwide.

These initiatives include storytelling sessions, poetry readings, poster-making, and essay-writing competitions, all intended to connect children and youth with the legacy of the Sahibzades.

Events will take place in schools, Anganwadi centers, Child Care Institutions, and various educational settings, with additional online programs available through the MyGov and MyBharat platforms.

The gathering at Bharat Mandapam will also feature recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP), adding a noteworthy aspect to the day's events.

‘Veer Baal Diwas’ serves to honor the valor and sacrifice of the Sahibzades, whose martyrdom remains a pivotal chapter in India’s legacy and continues to resonate through generations.
