New Delhi, Sep 12 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to officially launch the 4th annual edition of the global food extravaganza, World Food India (WFI) 2025, on September 25 at Bharat Mandapam in the heart of the national capital, as per an official announcement made on Friday.

Organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, World Food India 2025 will take place from September 25-28. This flagship global event aspires to establish India as the ‘Food Hub of the World’ by encouraging collaboration, innovation, and investment throughout the food processing value chain.

Following the remarkable success of its previous editions, the fourth iteration of World Food India will serve as a premier international platform, uniting policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and other stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and explore opportunities in India’s rapidly expanding food processing ecosystem.

A significant number of both domestic and international exhibitors are anticipated to take part, making it one of the most extensive showcases of the global food ecosystem, the statement noted.

This year, New Zealand and Saudi Arabia have been named as Partner Countries, while Japan, the UAE, Vietnam, and Russia will be represented as Focus Countries. Their participation aims to further strengthen bilateral relations, enhance knowledge exchange, and create fresh opportunities for trade and investment in the food processing sector.

The event is set to include a series of high-level knowledge sessions and panel discussions featuring global thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts. Sector-specific exhibitions will showcase the latest innovations, technologies, and solutions in food processing, packaging, machinery, cold chain, and allied industries, alongside B2B and B2G networking opportunities aimed at forging strategic partnerships and collaborations. Culinary experiences and chef competitions will highlight India’s rich food diversity and global trends in healthy, sustainable, and futuristic foods.

Additionally, two prestigious international events— the 3rd Global Food Regulators Summit by FSSAI, which will create a unique platform for global regulators to discuss the harmonization of food safety standards and strengthen regulatory cooperation, and the 24th India International Seafood Show (IISS) by the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI), focusing on India’s growing seafood export potential and global market linkages, will occur as parallel events during World Food India, as per the statement.
