Puttaparthi (Andhra Pradesh), Nov 18 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his eagerness to join the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba on Wednesday.
"I am excited to be among my sisters and brothers of Andhra Pradesh tomorrow for the birth centenary festivities of Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi," the Prime Minister shared in a post on X.
"His life and commitment to community service and the spiritual upliftment of society serve as a guiding beacon for future generations. I have had numerous occasions to engage with him and learn from his wisdom over the years. Here are some moments from our past interactions...," the PM stated, sharing photographs taken with the revered leader on various occasions.
Accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit the sacred shrine and Mahasamadhi of Sri Sathya Sai Baba at around 10 a.m., where he will pay his respects.
As part of the celebrations, Prime Minister Modi will also unveil a commemorative coin and a set of stamps that pay tribute to the teachings and lasting legacy of Sathya Sai Baba.
Additionally, he will address a public gathering during the event.
Afterward, the Prime Minister will head to Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu to inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit 2025 at approximately 1:30 p.m.
He will also release the 21st installment of the PM-KISAN initiative, amounting to over Rs 18,000 crores, aimed at supporting nine crore farmers nationwide.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will address the attendees on this occasion.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is arriving in Puttaparthi on Tuesday night, will greet Prime Minister Modi at Puttaparthi airport at 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to the state government's announced schedule, both leaders will visit Prasanti Nilayam and offer prayers at Sathya Sai Baba Mahasamadhi.
Subsequently, both the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister will proceed to Hill View Stadium to partake in the centenary celebrations.
After bidding farewell to Prime Minister Modi at Puttaparthi airport, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will head to Pendlimarri in the Kamalapuram constituency of Kadapa district to participate in the second phase of the Annadata Sukheebhava funds distribution program.
Under the Annadata Sukheebhava and PM Kisan schemes, each farmer will receive Rs 7,000.
A total of 46,85,838 farmers across the state will benefit from this initiative, with a total distribution of Rs 3,135 crore.
In total, both first and second installments will amount to Rs 6,309.44 crore for the farmers.
Later, the Chief Minister will engage with members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and return to Amaravati by Wednesday night.
