New Delhi, Dec 20 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation for two significant National Highway projects valued at approximately Rs 3,200 crore in Ranaghat, located in the Nadia district of West Bengal on Saturday.
During the event, he will address the attendees, as stated by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Friday.
According to the statement, “The Prime Minister will inaugurate the 66.7 km-long 4-laning of the Barajaguli - Krishnanagar Section of NH-34 in the Nadia District of West Bengal. He will also lay the foundation stone for the 4-laning of the 17.6 km long Barasat-Barajaguli Section of NH-34 in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.”
These projects will serve as an essential link between Kolkata and Siliguri, significantly reducing travel time by nearly two hours. This will ensure quicker and smoother vehicle movement, lower operating costs, and enhanced connectivity between Kolkata and other districts in West Bengal, as well as neighboring countries.

“I am eager to be with the people of West Bengal tomorrow, 20th December. At approximately 11:15 AM, I will participate in a public program in Ranaghat, Nadia district, where development projects worth Rs 3,200 crore will be inaugurated or their foundation stones will be laid,”
