What Major Development Projects Will PM Modi Unveil in Bihar Today?

Patna, May 30 (NationPress) Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a significant public gathering in Bikramganj, located in Rohtas district, where he will announce a range of infrastructure initiatives designed to enhance Bihar's growth trajectory.

Prior to his arrival, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan are set to arrive at the rally location.

During the event, the Prime Minister will officially launch and lay the groundwork for various projects valued at around Rs 48,500 crore.

These initiatives are anticipated to propel the state's advancements in sectors such as transportation, energy, railways, and overall connectivity.

The rally venue, covering 444 acres in Bikramganj, has been meticulously prepared. A grand stage and an extensive canopy have been constructed to accommodate thousands of attendees.

Beautiful floral decorations, featuring garlands and blooms sourced from Kolkata and Patna, have been arranged for the occasion.

Local artisans dedicated their efforts on Thursday to finalize intricate floral arrangements.

Given the significance of the Prime Minister's visit, rigorous security measures are in place, with 250 checkpoints established around the venue.

More than 5,000 personnel, including police officers, magistrates, and security staff, have been deployed.

This security detail consists of 10 Superintendents of Police, 50 Deputy SPs, and over 1,000 inspectors and sub-inspectors. Temporary police stations, along with 10 fire engines and numerous ambulances, have been stationed at the location.

Both the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police are overseeing the security arrangements personally.

In addition to the development announcements, this event is crucial for enhancing the BJP's organizational base in the state as the Assembly elections approach.

The atmosphere in Bikramganj is filled with excitement, as thousands of supporters are expected to gather.

PM Modi's upcoming speech and the anticipated announcements have garnered significant attention, with many viewing this visit as a pivotal moment for Bihar's infrastructure and economic advancement.

During the event, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for major projects, including the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi four-lane road, a four-lane elevated corridor in Gopalganj, and the automatic block signalling system from Sasaram to Anugrah Narayan Road. Additional major projects include the third railway line between Sonnagar-Muhammadganj, construction of hostels and staff quarters in Jehanabad, the third railway line between Kajart Nawadih and Sonnagar, three 800 MW power units in the second phase of the Navinagar thermal plant, the construction of a Ganga bridge connecting Buxar-Bharauli on NH-92, and the extension of NH-119D from Ramnagar to Kachchi Dargah. Furthermore, there will be a railway platform with five terminals at Harding Park in Patna, the Patna-Ara-Sasaram four-lane road on NH-119A, and the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata six-lane highway on NH-319B.
