The Vande Bharat Express, marking the 11th in the southern state, meets the long-awaited request for a premium train service connecting Bengaluru and Belagavi, promising to enhance seamless connectivity between these two cities.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the three Vande Bharat Express trains at KSR Railway Station in Bengaluru around 11 a.m.
Following this, he will officially launch the Yellow Line of Bangalore Metro and take a metro ride from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Electronic City metro station. By approximately 1 p.m., the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation for various urban connectivity projects in Bengaluru, and he will also speak at a public event.
He will subsequently open the Yellow Line from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra as part of the Bangalore Metro Phase-2 project, which spans over 19 km with 16 stations costing around Rs 7,160 crore. The introduction of this yellow line will elevate the operational metro network in Bengaluru to over 96 km, serving a vast population in the area.
Prime Minister Modi will also lay the groundwork for the Bangalore Metro Phase-3 project, valued at over Rs 15,610 crore, featuring a total route length exceeding 44 km and 31 elevated stations.
The three Vande Bharat Express trains that PM Modi will unveil will connect Bengaluru to Belagavi, Amritsar to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, and Nagpur (Ajni) to Pune.
The Bengaluru-Belagavi train will reduce travel time for passengers by nearly an hour. It will depart from Belagavi at 5:20 a.m., arriving at KSR Bengaluru by 1:50 p.m. In the return trip, it will leave KSR Bengaluru at 2:20 p.m., reaching Belagavi at 10:40 p.m.

These high-speed trains are anticipated to boost regional connectivity, diminish travel time, and offer passengers a world-class travel experience.
