Bengaluru, Aug 10 (NationPress) The Karnataka Police Department has mobilized over 10,000 personnel to guarantee safety and security during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bengaluru on Sunday. The Prime Minister will take part in two significant programs to inaugurate the eagerly anticipated Yellow Line Metro and Vande Bharat train services in the state.
The Yellow Line Metro will link the tech center of Electronics City with Bengaluru’s main district. The Vande Bharat train service is set to run between Bengaluru and Belagavi, a border city situated in northern Karnataka.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has already arrived in Bengaluru to partake in the events. BJP flags have been displayed along the entire route of the Prime Minister’s travel.
Security measures have been escalated at the R.V. Road–Bommasandra Metro Line and the Majestic Railway Station, where the inauguration events will take place.
The security operations are being overseen by Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh. The deployment consists of four Joint Police Commissioners, 12 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP), 50 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP), 200 police inspectors, and 650 police sub-inspectors, along with police constables and reserve forces, to ensure that no incidents occur during the visit.
Barriers and checkpoints have been established at over 50 locations across the city, and vehicle inspections are already in progress.
The Ragigudda Metro Station, the site of the Yellow Line Metro inauguration, has been fortified with police presence.
Barriers have also been set up on the city’s outskirts, with ongoing vehicle inspections for the past three days.
Suspicious vehicle activities are being monitored and checked, and details of riders are being documented. Police sources indicated that a significant number of personnel in plain clothes have been deployed throughout the city.
Vehicle movement from NICE Road towards Electronics City will be restricted between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., with alternative routes provided for motorists. Due to the Prime Minister’s visit, the Lalbagh, South End Circle, Jayanagar, and R.V. Road Metro Stations will remain closed from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
The BJP has arranged for a warm welcome for Prime Minister Narendra Modi at several points along his route to the inauguration events in Bengaluru. Thousands of BJP supporters will greet him at Mekhri Circle, Chalukya Circle, Kanteerava Sangolli Rayanna Circle, South End Circle, Ragigudda, and Electronics City.
