Bengaluru, Aug 10 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially launched the Yellow Line Metro services at the R.V. Road (Ragigudda) Metro Station on Sunday. This new line connects Bengaluru's Central District to the technological hub, Electronics City. In a symbolic gesture, he purchased a ticket by scanning the QR code at the Metro station before accessing the platform.

During the event, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, and officials from the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) provided an overview of the project to PM Modi at the venue. Following this, the Prime Minister flagged off the Metro train.

Notable attendees included Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Union Ministers Manohar Lal, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Shobha Karandlaje, Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya, former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna, and others.

Despite the rain, thousands gathered at the R.V. Road (Ragigudda) Metro Station to see the Prime Minister. The crowd chanted slogans in his favor and showered flowers on his vehicle, to which he responded by waving.

PM Modi is set to ride the newly inaugurated 19.15 km Yellow Line Metro, traveling alongside 16 girl students from a government school and eight laborers who contributed to the project. This journey will pass through 16 Metro stations, concluding at the Bommanahalli Metro Station in Bengaluru.
