Bengaluru, Aug 10 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched down in Bengaluru on Sunday via a special flight to HAL Airport for a series of significant events. He is set to launch the Vande Bharat train services along with the Yellow Line Metro, and he will also experience a ride on the Metro himself. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for Phase 3 of the Bengaluru Metro.
Upon arriving at HAL Airport, the Prime Minister will take a helicopter to the HQTC Helipad at Mekhri Circle, where he will be received by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, and other esteemed dignitaries. They will then head to the Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Railway Station to inaugurate the Vande Bharat train service connecting Bengaluru and Belagavi.
BJP National Yuva Morcha President and Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya expressed that the Prime Minister is dedicating two crucial projects to the citizens of Bengaluru. “He is laying the foundation stone for Phase 3 of the Metro, which is expected to facilitate commuting for approximately 10 lakh people daily. The newly inaugurated Yellow Line Metro will serve around 18 lakh residents in Bengaluru South,” Surya remarked.
“I urged Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate the Yellow Line Metro Project, and he emphasized that any delays were unacceptable, as the Metro would alleviate traffic woes for Bengaluru’s residents. He set the inauguration date within just seven to eight days,” Surya added.
“On behalf of the people of Bengaluru and Karnataka, I congratulate Prime Minister Modi,” he stated.
PM Modi will launch the Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat train services at KSR Railway Station and will also flag off services between Amritsar-Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Nagpur-Pune.
Prime Minister Modi is set to arrive at the RV Road (Ragi Gudda) Metro Station to inaugurate the Yellow Metro Line. He will experience a Metro ride from RV Road to Electronics City Metro Station and will subsequently lay the foundation for the Metro Phase 3 project at a ceremony at the IIIT Auditorium in Electronics City.
Taking to social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi shared a message in Kannada regarding his Bengaluru visit: “On August 10, I am eager to be with the people of Bengaluru. Three Vande Bharat Express trains aimed at enhancing connectivity will be inaugurated from KSR Railway Station. Furthermore, the Yellow Line of the Bengaluru Metro will be launched, and I will lay the foundation stone for Phase 3 of the Bengaluru Metro. I will also address a public gathering in the city,” he indicated.
