Bengaluru, Aug 10 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially launched the services of three Vande Bharat trains at the Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Train Station in Bengaluru this Sunday.

He also inaugurated the Vande Bharat train service connecting Bengaluru with Belagavi in Karnataka.

During the event, the Prime Minister boarded the Vande Bharat train and engaged with students and children present.

At the event site within the railway station, Prime Minister Modi greeted the staff members with a wave.

Additionally, he flagged off Vande Bharat train services linking Amritsar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and between Nagpur (Ajni) and Pune. Notable figures at the event included Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna, Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, and BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra.

As the Vande Bharat train to Belagavi began its journey, Prime Minister Modi and other dignitaries waved to the onboard passengers.

He is set to ride the Metro from R.V. Road to Electronics City Metro Station. Subsequently, he will lay the foundation stone for the Metro Phase 3 project at the IIIT Auditorium in Electronics City.

BJP National Yuva Morcha President and Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya stated that the Prime Minister is dedicating two major projects to the city's residents.

"The foundation stone for Phase 3 of the Metro is being laid today. Upon commencement, the Metro is expected to facilitate travel for around 10 lakh people daily. Likewise, the Yellow Line Metro, inaugurated today, will cater to 18 lakh people in the Bengaluru South region," Surya mentioned.

"I had personally requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the Yellow Line Metro Project in Bengaluru. He emphasized that any delays in launching these projects were unacceptable, given the traffic challenges faced by Bengaluru's populace. The inauguration date was set within just seven to eight days," Surya added.

"On behalf of the people of Bengaluru and Karnataka, I extend my congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he concluded.
