Is Bengaluru Ready for a Festive Celebration with PM Modi's Inauguration of the Yellow Line Metro and Vande Bharat Train?

Bengaluru, Aug 10 (NationPress) The mood in Bengaluru is undeniably festive, as Karnataka BJP chief B.Y. Vijayendra shared on Sunday about the excitement among residents for the inauguration of the Yellow Line Metro by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This new Yellow Line Metro is set to greatly benefit the people of South Bengaluru and the city's thriving tech corridor, filling the community with pride and happiness. It is not solely BJP supporters who are enthusiastic; citizens across Bengaluru and Karnataka eagerly anticipate Prime Minister Modi's visit.

In a statement to reporters, BJP MLA Vijayendra mentioned that the Vande Bharat train connecting Bengaluru and Belagavi is also being inaugurated, further enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Phase 3 of the Metro. As a global city and an IT hub, Bengaluru necessitates robust infrastructure, including an efficient Metro network, which is a priority for the Prime Minister, he elaborated.

He emphasized, "The state government must address the poor road conditions in Bengaluru and throughout Karnataka. This is not the time for blame. While the state government has made strides, it is also because of the Centre's dedication that Metro services are being launched for the people of the state," he stated.

Vijayendra remarked, "The Metro will significantly alleviate traffic congestion in Bengaluru. Unfortunately, the lack of political resolve and foresight from successive state governments has stalled progress. For instance, the Bengaluru International Airport, established 10 to 15 years ago, still lacks Metro connectivity - a clear governance failure," he noted.

He added, "I am not criticizing, but the pace required for Bengaluru's development has not been achieved. Thanks to Prime Minister Modi's determination to accelerate development projects, many infrastructure initiatives have been hastened," Vijayendra pointed out.

When questioned about the initial exclusion of Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka from the event's guest list, he clarified, "It was due to a communication issue. We have communicated with the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi. The situation has been resolved, and senior leader Ashoka will be present at Prime Minister Modi's events. Party workers and leaders throughout the state are eagerly awaiting his visit."

He further assured that decisions regarding attendee lists for events are not made by the BJP but by the PMO and the Centre.

"What occurred was not ideal, but it has been addressed," he concluded.
