PM Modi to Lead Chief Secretaries Conference in Delhi Tomorrow

New Delhi, Dec 13 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to preside over the fourth National Conference of Chief Secretaries in Delhi on December 14 and December 15, focusing on establishing a unified social and development agenda to foster economic growth in anticipation of the Budget 2025-26.
The discussions will center around enhancing cooperative federalism and ensuring improved coordination between the Centre and the States to facilitate swifter growth and development.
This annual Conference has taken place for the past three years, with the inaugural session held in June 2022 at Dharamshala, followed by subsequent meetings in New Delhi in January 2023 and December 2023.
The upcoming three-day Conference, running from December 13 to December 15, will prioritize the development and execution of a cohesive development agenda and action plan in collaboration with the States.
It aims to establish the foundation for collaborative efforts to capitalize on India's demographic dividend by fostering entrepreneurship, enhancing skill development, and generating sustainable employment opportunities for both rural and urban demographics.
The fourth National Conference will revolve around the theme ‘Promoting Entrepreneurship, Employment & Skilling -- Utilizing the Demographic Dividend’, addressing best practices and strategies that States and UTs can adopt.
Under this broad theme, special focus will be directed towards six key sectors: Manufacturing, Services, Rural Non-farm, Urban, Renewable Energy, and Circular Economy, which will be explored in detail.
Additionally, four special sessions will be organized on Frontier Technology for Viksit Bharat, Developing Cities as Economic Growth Hubs, Economic Reforms in States for Investment, and Capacity Building through Mission Karmayogi.
Moreover, focused discussions over meals will address Atmanirbharata in Agriculture: Edible Oils & Pulses, Care Economy for the Ageing Population, PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana Implementation, and Bharatiya Gyan Parampara.
Best practices from various States and UTs will also be showcased at the Conference to promote cross-learning among the States.
Attendance will include Chief Secretaries, senior officials from all States/Union Territories, and domain experts, among others.
