Bhopal, April 7 (NationPress) The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana has proven to be a significant catalyst for the youth in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, transforming their lives beyond a mere government initiative.

It has become a beacon of employment opportunities, with visible changes taking place around the Tendukheda Post Office in the district.

Numerous young beneficiaries can be seen riding their motorcycles while carrying their toolkits.

Among them are two young men from Sarra village who opted for a challenging journey to achieve their aspirations, ultimately finding success through the PM Vishwakarma scheme.

Launched in 2023, the PM Vishwakarma scheme aims to offer comprehensive support to artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 traditional trades that involve skilled manual work. Millions of beneficiaries are receiving support and training through this initiative.

Suresh, one of the beneficiaries, shared with IANS that he discovered the scheme via his smartphone and took the initiative to enroll for free vocational training. After completing his training in traditional skills, he received a toolkit to seize new opportunities.

Another beneficiary, 25-year-old Parmanand Kurmi, recounted his experience, highlighting how many individuals in his village have benefited from this scheme.

Upon finishing their training, they were equipped with a toolkit valued at ₹15,000 provided by the government.

This toolkit, which includes essential tools and equipment necessary for applying their newly acquired skills, has enabled them to create their own livelihoods and significantly enhance the living standards of their families.
