Gurugram, April 10 (NationPress) An Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) from the Gurugram Police facilitated rapid transport for a 24-year-old pregnant woman to a government hospital in a mere 17 minutes, as reported by the police.
On Wednesday, around 9:30 am, the Gurugram Police ERV-269 was on duty at Daulatabad Chowk. During this time, a vehicle approached the ERV team, and an individual inside inquired about the location of the Civil Hospital Gurugram, situated in Sector-10.
According to an official, the police noticed a pregnant woman accompanied by two other individuals in the car.
EHC Surender and driver constable Jai Bhagwan, recognizing the urgency of the situation, opted to escort the car to the hospital without delay.
The police personnel activated the siren of the ERV in front of the woman’s vehicle, clearing a path through the traffic, and successfully transported the pregnant woman to the hospital in just 17 minutes. However, during the journey, the woman delivered her baby, and both were found to be in a critical condition.
Upon their arrival at the hospital, the police promptly contacted the hospital staff to admit the mother and her newborn.
The medical team treated the mother and child, and after the examination, the doctor confirmed that both were in good health.
Following this, the police instructed the woman, Sonu, and her family members, including her husband Hasan and brother Saddam, who were present at the hospital, to look after the mother and baby, and to reach out to the police via 112 if further assistance was required.
Sandeep Kumar, the spokesperson for the Gurugram Police, stated that the newborn’s father, maternal uncle, and mother are laborers in Hayatpur, who expressed their gratitude for the prompt action taken by the Gurugram Police.
