Amaravati, March 11 (NationPress) Actor and YSR Congress Party leader Posani Krishna Murali has received bail in all the legal cases registered against him across various police stations in Andhra Pradesh for making inappropriate comments about Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.

A court in Kurnool granted bail to Posani on Tuesday after he was arrested at his home in Hyderabad on February 26.

The Additional Junior Civil Judge's Court approved bail on a personal bond of Rs 20,000 along with two sureties.

Another court in Vijayawada also granted him bail on the same day. The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court had previously placed Posani in judicial custody until March 20.

Following his arrest from Hyderabad, Posani was taken to Annamayya district where a case was filed against him for allegedly attempting to incite discord among different community groups. He was subsequently remanded to judicial custody.

Later, the actor was transported to Kurnool under a PT warrant regarding a case initiated by Adoni police. He was imprisoned in Kurnool and eventually moved back to Vijayawada on a PT warrant for another case.

A court in Narsaraopet granted bail to Posani on a similar charge on Monday, and earlier, the Rajampet court also accepted his bail plea.

The YSR Congress Party claimed that the government led by Chandrababu Naidu has filed a total of 17 cases against Posani as a result of political revenge.

The opposition accused the NDA government of plotting to prevent him from obtaining legal relief, alleging that cases were filed statewide after his arrest and that the police deliberately concealed the locations to obstruct his bail efforts.

The government sought PT warrants for each case, which necessitated Posani’s transport over hundreds of kilometers—from Hyderabad to Vijayawada via Rajampet, then to Narsaraopet, Guntur, Adoni in Kurnool district, back to Suryaraopet in Vijayawada, and finally to Kurnool jail, the YSRCP claimed.

Despite being 67 years old and suffering from heart and other health issues, the police reportedly harassed him as part of a government strategy to worsen his condition, according to the opposition.

In response to a petition from the YSRCP legal team, the High Court instructed that a notice be issued to Posani regarding the filed cases and ordered a stop to investigations in a case registered in Visakhapatnam.

Now that bail has been approved in all cases, Posani is anticipated to be released from jail on Wednesday.
